Michael A. Penn is the principal attorney with The Penn Law Firm, P.C. He has been practicing law in the State of Georgia since 1993. His practice concentrates in the areas of general corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial litigation.

Michael received his Juris Doctor degree from the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware in 1993, and received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1990.

Prior to starting The Penn Law Firm, he was with the firm of Briskin & Associates, L.C. for six years, also practicing in the areas of general corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial litigation.

Michael started his legal career serving as a prosecuting attorney in DeKalb County, Georgia, where he performed dozens of jury trials and more than one hundred bench trials. Thereafter, he joined the law firm of Lane, O'Brien & Caswell, P.C., where he handled a wide variety of cases in the areas of commercial and general civil litigation.

Michael is a member of the Georgia Bar and is admitted to practice before all Georgia trial courts, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Michael has successfully argued several cases before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals, and has numerous reported cases.

Michael is an active member with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Small Business Committee. Michael is a graduate of the Leadership North Fulton program. Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, and the Atlanta Bar Association. Michael is also an active volunteer and leader on various committees with the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and the Cub Scouts.

Michael lives in Alpharetta, Georgia with his wife and four children.
